Dr. Feliachi is an engineer from the École Nationale Polytechnique of Algiers (1976), holds a PhD from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris (1981), and a State Doctorate in Physical Sciences from the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble (1986). During this same period, he held positions as a Research Engineer at Supélec, Bull Company, and Leroy Somer Company.
In 1988, he joined the University Institute of Technology of Saint-Nazaire at the University of Nantes, where he served as a professor. He is a founding member of the Laboratory for Research in Inductive Techniques (LRTI, 1990), which he co-directed for three years, and later of the Electrical Engineering Cluster (GE44, 1994), where he served as Head of the Modeling and Simulation Team for eleven years.
He has been engaged in scientific collaboration with Algeria for three decades within the framework of a Franco-Algerian Research Network in Inductive Technologies, currently affiliated with the Nantes Atlantique Electrical Energy Research Institute (IREENA).
In the area of education, he created in 2003 the Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Multitechnical Systems Maintenance, which he led for approximately fifteen years. His research focuses on the development of multimethod models of multiphysical phenomena for the study of electromagnetic induction devices, composite materials, and non-destructive testing using eddy currents.
Currently, Dr. Feliachi is Professor Emeritus and Head of the Inductics-Net Network.
