
Dr. Lefkaier graduated from the University of Sétif in 1986 with a DES in Solid-State Physics. He received his PhD in Solid-State Physics in 1993 from the University of Nalchik, Russia. He has been a faculty member at the University of Laghouat since 1993.
Promoted to the rank of Professor in 2006, he has held positions as Director of national research projects (CNEPRU, PNR) and an international NATO project, Director of an institute within the University Center of Laghouat, then Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies (for one year), and finally Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research, and External Relations at the University of Laghouat.
He was a member of the Steering Council and the Scientific Council of the ANDRU agency (currently ATRST) for three years, and subsequently a member of the Scientific Council of the same agency for an additional three years. Dr. Lefkaier’s scientific fields of interest include surface thermodynamics, surface analysis techniques, non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, and ab initio methods.
Dr. Lefkaier is a faculty member at Ammar Télidji University of Laghouat, Director of the Laboratory of Materials Physics (since 2013), a member of the National Pedagogical Council for the Field of Matter Sciences (CPND-SM), and a member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Laghouat.
