Dr. Abdelhalim Taieb-Brahim

Dr. Taieb-Brahim is an Electrical Engineering graduate of the University of Science and Technology of Oran and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique of Grenoble. In 1992, he joined the University of Science and Technology of Oran – Mohammed Boudiaf, where he is a professor.

He served as President of the Scientific Council of the Department of Electrical Engineering from 2010 to 2012, President of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering from 2012 to 2014, and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering from 2015 to 2018.

He was Head of the Modeling Team in Electrical Engineering “MOMAGE” at the Applied Power Electronics Laboratory at USTO. His research areas include modeling of low-frequency electromagnetic devices, development of two- and three-dimensional electromagnetic field computation software, the study of non-destructive testing using eddy currents, and the design of electrical machines. Dr. Taieb-Brahim has extensive experience in the development of electromagnetic field computation software and was the first to develop a 100% Algerian electromagnetic field calculation software.

Dr. Taieb-Brahim has held positions as Director of national research projects (CNEPRU, ATRST). He is currently a Professor at the École Nationale Polytechnique d’Oran – Maurice Audin.
