Word From The President

Lakhdar Boukerrou, Ph.D.

Welcome to the Algerian-American Association for Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (AAASTE)!

The hardworking people behind this initiative share a bold vision: to advance research excellence, educational innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit in Algeria. Since our founding, we have transformed that vision into action. We have organized online lectures connecting Algerian and American experts, launched collaborative projects, supported student-led innovation initiatives, and facilitated workshops that bring together academia, industry, and entrepreneurs. These programs have already helped build bridges between Algeria and the United States, fostering knowledge-sharing and professional growth across borders.

We are a dynamic association of like-minded individuals committed to building a community where scientists, entrepreneurs, and innovators from both Algeria and the U.S. can collaborate. The time is ripe to expand these efforts, creating more opportunities for partnerships, mentorship, and sustainable economic development in Algeria.

Our world today is more interconnected than ever, and we believe Algeria can play a central role in global education, research, and entrepreneurship. As a non-profit, our vision is “to advance the role of science, technology, and entrepreneurship in Algeria through academic and professional initiatives.” Our promise is to engage colleagues in Algeria and the U.S. in meaningful projects that produce lasting impact.

We warmly invite you to become a member, attend our programs, participate in our workshops, and contribute your expertise. Together, we can strengthen the historical ties between Algeria and the United States while building a brighter, knowledge-driven future.

On behalf of the Board, I look forward to welcoming you to the Association and to working with you to continue this exciting journey.
