Ilyes Baali
Ilyes Baali earned a baccalaureate degree in Algeria before moving to Turkey to pursue undergraduate studies at Antalya International University. There, he completed a double major in Electronics and Computer Engineering. For his master’s degree, also at Antalya International University, he focused on developing methods to identify cancer driver gene modules and worked on various machine learning projects in biology. Currently, Ilyes is a PhD student in the Tri-Institutional Computational Biology and Medicine Program. As a member of the Quaid Morris Lab, he is developing machine learning models to study post-transcriptional gene regulation, with a particular focus on uncovering the binding preferences of RNA-binding proteins (RBPs).
