Mr. Omar Bakelli is a Ph.D. candidate in Petroleum Engineering at the University of North Dakota with experience in petroleum engineering and hydrogeology. He holds a master’s degree in Hydrogeology and an engineer degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla.
Throughout the years, he has served in different positions as social media chair and membership chairperson of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) the University of North Dakota Student Chapter where they received the outstanding award honoring the top 5% performant student chapters worldwide. He is also serving as a general secretary of the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA) the University of North Dakota Student Chapter.
Mr. Bakelli is a Water resources enthusiast with a keen interest in water resources valorization and protection. His current Ph.D. project focuses on the optimization of produced water management in unconventional reservoirs.
