Karima Feldhus

Dr. Karima Feldhus is the Executive Dean of Extended Learning at Saddleback College, South Orange County Community College District. Since 2005, she held various administrative positions within the district ranging from Dean of Liberal Arts to Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness at both Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College.

Previously Dr. Feldhus held faculty and administrator positions at universities and colleges across two continents and in four US states. These positions were: École Normale Superieure in Algiers, University of Algiers, University of Kansas, Emporia State University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, University of Houston, University of Houston – Clear Lake, St. Thomas University, and Long Beach City Community College in California. As a faculty member, she taught courses in Linguistics, French, Arabic, assessment, and multicultural education. As Director of the Language Acquisition Center at the University of Houston, Dr. Feldhus co-founded and oversaw the Arabic Studies program.
Dr. Feldhus has a Bachelor’s of English from the University of Algiers, and a Masters of Art in Linguistics and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas.
